25th November 2021
Seriously!!!!! Can you believe that the end of the year is already nearly here? The next few weeks are very busy for the learners and teachers as there are many exciting events coming up, as well as end-of-term goals that we as Educators are all working towards. There is a hum in the school as we head into the last weeks of term. With the holidays upon us our learners and teachers are looking forward to a chance to slow the pace and just enjoy the final stretch of what has been a great year for us all in our beautiful new premises. Below are a few reminders and information about what is happening at the school.
The school concert will be on TUESDAY 30th November and WEDNESDAY 1st December.
ALL children will perform on both nights. All COVID protocols will be observed during the concert for both the performers and the audience. There are some extra tickets available for any parents that would like to purchase more than five.
The 2021 academic year will end on the 8th of December. Reports will be available for collection on this day. If you are possibly traveling earlier, please advise the class teacher so that she is aware of it. The last day of Aftercare will be Friday 10th December. Thank you to all the parents for their support and enthusiasm about this facility. The Educators will be using the last three days the following week as Admin days and deep cleaning of classrooms.
The Grade 0’s and Grades 1- 3 will be having an end-of-year celebration and party on Wednesday 8th December during school hours. The Teachers will be the children’s Entertainers and perform a splendid show for them!! We are planning to make this a really special day with lots of fun and laughs. The Teachers will dress up as fairies and will be doing a special dance with Father Christmas to show him just how well behaved they have all been 😊.
Please purchase a gift for your child at a value of NO more than R100. This gift must be wrapped and clearly marked with your child’s name and surname. It must be sneaked into Wendy or my office by Monday 6th December. PLEASE keep this a secret from your child, as it makes the arrival of Father Christmas and the gift all the more exciting.
Have You Seen this Yellow Bin?
To your left when you walk in the main entrance this yellow bin sits… waiting for your outgrown or gently used clothes (Infant through to 8-year-old.)
We collect these items (if possible, without holes). We will send them to Babelegi (the school that we support) along with the Colouring-in books, Jumbo wax crayons, and a Ball that we have requested as gifts for the needy Babelegi young children. This is an easy way for you to help another less fortunate child without having to buy anything or volunteer your precious time!!
Thank you for supporting our school community.
Have a great weekend all.
Cheryl de Melo.
