As all our fabulous Moms, Sisters and Grandmothers celebrate Women’s Day this Monday 9th I would like to commend you all for your different achievements in life and for your noticeable and praiseworthy expertise in raising your children.

The empowering of women and girls has resulted in the closing of gender gaps and has benefited not only women but advanced countries of the world. Gender equality has provided access to education, health, economic opportunities, and a powerful voice within households and society. There are now more young women than men in universities in two-thirds of the countries and women represent 51% of the students. Women are fast becoming the backbone of society. The role of women in today’s world has changed significantly and for the better. Women are now self-sufficient, well aware, and financially independent. They have attained immense success in every field, whether it is sports, politics, or academics. With the encouragement of co-education, women are now marching side by side with men, in every walk of life.

• Women as mothers are the key to sustainable development and quality of life in the family. The varieties of roles that mothers assume in the family are those of wife, leader, administrator, organiser, manager of family income, and last but not least important the mother. No wonder you have all become so astute with juggling all your roles!! The nurturing that a mother provides is unparalleled and vital for the sound development of their children and is, therefore, the backbone for a progressing nation like ours.
• The strength of a mother is her unconditional love for her children and others.
• The strength of a woman is to be a peacemaker.
• The strength of a woman is to be able to feel things no one else can.
• The strength of a woman is to be able to make self-sacrifices.

The 2021 International Women’s Day campaign theme is # CHOOSE THE CHALLENGE. Individually as women we are all responsible for our own thoughts, paths, and actions – all day, every day. We thus do have the opportunity to choose to challenge whatever we are not comfortable with. From challenge comes CHANGE, so let’s all choose to challenge. Collectively, we can all help to create a better world for all.

To all the women at our school whether you are steering the ship alone as a single Mother or have the support of a partner we salute you for your unconditional and selfless love of your children.

Enjoy celebrating women’s day on Monday with your loved ones embracing your significance in your family and home.
